How to Play Heaven or Hell? — Rules and the Case File
The itch description says you read a soul’s statement, check today’s newspaper, then send them to Heaven or Hall. The current build’s public files do not contain a newspaper texture or the word newspaper. Treat the paper as page copy until a second source shows the screen.
I compared the store sentence with the official Bobby screenshot. The file on screen has PHOTO, Profile, NAME, DOB, DOD, Job, Top 3 Evil Things, and a DECISION stamp. I did not find a newspaper panel in that image or in the build string list published in the research notes.
The loop you can actually see
Scenes named in the build are StartPage, MainScene, and GameOver. GameOver contains a Final Report and the words Your score.
- Start on the landing scene. The build product name is HeavenHell-2D.
- Open a soul. The visible file lists name, dates, job, and three deeds.
- Stamp a decision. The itch text calls the bad place Hall, not a second hell brand.
- After the souls, the GameOver scene shows a score. The scoring formula is not published.
How a question works
The itch description says you click each line on a mortal’s file to question them about their crimes. The official Bobby screenshot shows three checkboxes under Top 3 Evil Things and a speech bubble. The build has dialog objects. That is the questioning step.
A second line on the same itch page says to check today’s newspaper. The current build’s public file list and the Bobby screenshot do not show a newspaper. Keep that sentence as store copy, not as a button you must find.
- Read the death, then the three deeds. On Bobby, the death is a stage fall and the first deed is a drunk-driving crash. The mismatch is the point of the file.
- Click a deed to hear the excuse. Some excuses admit the act and argue the motive. Some deny the act. The itch page does not say which kind is “correct.”
- Do not stamp from the job title. A princess, a bank clerk, and a rapper can all go to Hall.
- Stamp Heaven or Hall. The red DECISION mark is on the official screenshot.
What not to treat as a tip
A boolean named FinalDecision sits on each soul in the build. Four are true and four are false. Nothing on the itch page says that true means the correct stamp. Using it as an answer key would be a guess.
Questions
How long is Heaven or Hell?
No minute count is published. The itch tag is Short, and the build has eight soul files.
Is there a walkthrough video?
A YouTube search on 27 Oct 2026 did not find a playthrough of this build. This page uses the itch text and the public build only.
